Like an eternal dreamscape
We should always be together
But I'll let our love escape
By staying awake forever
It is the only known way
To stop my bad dreams
It's safe to sleep in the day
Or maybe that's just how it seems
I'm hiding underneath my bed
I'll wait until it's all over
I've got to remember the things you said
I think that means staying sober
I don't reckon I can stay awake
For a moment longer
You've had more Valium than you can take
And I thought that you were stronger
Watching you where you lie
Fighting those fatigued eyes from closing
We're both asleep now so why
Is this love still decomposing?
